- This is the first storyline to take place partially on Hell and in another galaxy
- Vesta never sets foot on Hell during the entire storyline
- Noriko Null gains partial access to the Nexus operating system for the first time; it will happen again in the “Until Gods do us part” storyline with a similarly reduced control, and much later during “Persistence of Eden” to a larger extent.
- After beginning a romantic relationship with Todd Slate during the previous storyline, Noriko Null loses her virginity to him in the epilogue.
