The Blood is an universe-wide energy field that connects all living beings.

Its origins are unknown; the Demons believe it is naturally occurring, but since it can be blocked by the Vial of Destiny it is likely an artificial creation of the Drylon.

The Blood reacts to the emotions of a user; reckless use can easily lead to death. The Blood reacts more strongly to anger than to any other emotion and its power is only increased by the violence and destruction it creates.

Demons are naturally adept to use the Blood: Torn’s daughters were able to create Blood weapons before they were potty trained. Other species are capable of using the Blood, however it puts a tremendous strain on human bodies.

Known uses for the Blood include, but are by no means limited to:

Energy constructs: its most frequent use, especially by the Demons. Blood energy can be solidified into constructs, often swords of blades. Constructs have no mass and are not affected by gravity, hovering in place if untouched. Constructs are red and semi-transparent.

Portal generation: the Blood can be used to open inter-dimensional portals. Its most frequent use includes the instant travel to a different galaxy, but portals have also been used to access parallel dimensions.

Telepathy: the Blood can be used to acces the mind of a target to reach a wide variety of effects, from mind reading to instant death.

Divine power boost: while it is common knowledge that gods cannot use the Blood, but select few gods (including Kronos, Artemis and Vesta) have been known to use the Blood to vastly increase their power.
