• Issue 1 and Issue 2 are the only ones to be published on the same day.
• Athena would not appear again until BTI 051
• Leiko’s harsh words, “You are nothing and will always be nothing”, will called back several times by Noriko in times of crisis.
• Athena’s offer to make Noriko “The vanguard of Earth’s defense against the impossible” is her inspiration for her team’s name.
• The book version includes several additional details following Noriko receiving her powers. The exact location of her encounter is given as Cleopatra’s Needle, the effects the transformation on her new brain are more clearly defined, and the scene of her noticing The Many (only implied in the following issue) is shown.
