The Monk was the eleventh human host of the Nexus.

Biography

The Monk was a human who used the Nexus to contemplate the secrets of the universe through meditation an philosophy. His real name is unknown.
In order to isolate himself he moved to the Aegian Galaxy where he lived in total isolation, until he was murdered by Lexar who absorbed the Nexus.
At some point of his life he developed the powerful mind techniques of Soul Control and taught them to Ulysses.

The details of his life and his death are unknown; after his death, the Nexus saved a copy of his mind into the Mindscape.
When Noriko Null was trapped inside the Mindscape, the Monk and other previous Nexus hosts provided assistence.

Superhuman intelligence: the Monk’ brain was billions of times faster than a human’s, giving him enhanced pattern solving, information retrieval and logical structuring.
