Amaterasu-Ōmikami (天照大御神, 天照大神 in Japanese), typically known as Amaterasu (/ɑːmətɛɹˈɑːsuː/ IPA) is the artificially created Goddess of the Sun.

Biography

Amaterasu was artificially created by Viper by using a device build by Hephaestus.
Viper used one of the three bodies of Hekate as a template, channeling a fraction of the power of Tiamat and imprinting her own genetic material into the resulting construct.

Amaterasu was born with the mind of a child and the power of a Class-2 goddess. Viper was harsh and abusive towards her, forcing her to start a war with Helios.

Null eventually killed Viper and removed from Amaterasu the power of Tiamat, but she refused to kill her: instead Amaterasu was brainwashed into forgetting about her mother.

Amaterasu was trained on Hell by Vice. She left the planet during the invasion of the Eden, who briefly possessed her body.
She was then recruited by Leiko Tanaka.

 

Powers

Immortality: Amaterasu does not age

Flight: Amaterasu can lift her own body telekinetically.

Invulnerability: By placing a mental lock on her molecular structure, Amaterasu can prevent her body from being harmed.

Godlike strength: Amaterasu can move objects with her mind.

Godlike stamina: Amaterasu doesn’t need to eat, drink or sleep.

Universal translator: Amaterasu can understand any language instantly. People around her will have the same ability, but it will fade over time without prolonged contact.

Solar energy generation: Amaterasu is able to generate astronomical amounts of destructive energy.

Solar-powered healing: exposure to sunlight can greatly speed up her healing

 

FORMER POWERS

Divine power absorbtion: Amateasu was originally capable of absorbing the power of other gods to boost her own abilities. This was removed once she was purged from the energy of the Primordial Gods

Stellar detonation: Amateasu was able to easily cause a star to explode, with next to no effort.

Trivia

• Despite having the body of a full-grown woman, Amaterasu has the mind of a child
• Since Viper used her own eggs to give birth to Amaterasu, she’s in a sense her daughter. Because Viper was a clone of Noriko Null and the two shared the exact same DNA, this makes Amaterasu Null’s biological daughter as well.
