Ares (/ˈɛəriːz/ IPA, Αρεσ in Olympian) is the Greek god of war. Son of Zeus and Hera, he is one of the most powerful gods of his pantheon.

He was the main adversary of “The red war” storyline.

Biography

Ares the oldest child of Zeus and Hera, feared by all mortals and despised by many gods in his family, especially Athena.
He has been violent against several of his relatives: he’s known to have raped his sister Enyo and molested his children Phobos and Deimos.

He was one of the gods responsible for the exile of Hestia, against whom he has always had a grudge because of his vulnerability to fire.
After keeping to himself during the early years of the Mortal Uprising, he was recruited by his mother Hera to execute his sister Ilithyia and her unborn child.

Ares later launched his attack on Hell, mercilessly slaughtering three quarters of its population and enslaving the rest to join his army against Apollo.
Despite his overwhelming power, he was unable to withstand the combined attack of an Noriko Null, Vesta, the Amazons and the Demons and was killed by the Slayer of Gods.

Powers

Ares is one of the most powerful Greek gods, growing to Class-2 status and even getting extremely close to Class-1.

Immortality: Ares does not age; he has kept his current apparent age for thousands of years.

Flight: Ares can lift his own body telekinetically and move much faster than the speed of light.

Invulnerability: By placing a mental lock on his molecular structure, Ares can prevent his body from being harmed. He can survive for extended periods of time on the surface of a white dwarf star.

Power absorbtion: Ares is able to absorb astronomical amounts of kinetic and electromagnetic energy, converting them to his own power reserves. The only kind of energy that he cannot absorb is heat.

Godlike strength: Ares is as strong as he thinks he is; he is considered one of the strongest gods in the Olympian Galaxy. He’s able to wear an armor of Degenerate Neutral Matter weighing billions of tons while at the same time wielding a sword that weighs as much as a planet.

Godlike stamina: Ares doesn’t need to eat, drink or sleep..

Universal translator: Ares can understand any language instantly. People around him will have the same ability, but it will fade over time without prolonged contact.

Portal generation: Ares is able to create portals to travel to other galaxies istantaneously.

Telekinesis: Ares can move objects with his mind. This ability is so great that it allows him to keep his sword almost weighless, despite it having the mass of a planet.
