Kronos (/ˈkroʊnɒs/ IPA, Κρονοσ in Olympian) was the Greek God of Time and former Emperor Of The Universe, before being deposed by his youngest son Zeus.
Also called The Harvester and The Devourer of Gods, he was an immensely powerful being feared by even the mightiest gods.
Biography
The youngest child of Gaea, Kronos overthrew his father Uranus and became the ruler of the Nine Gods. He devoured the first eight children he conceived with Rhea: Hestia, Demeter, Hera, Hades and Poseidon.
By devouring gods, Kronos was able to increase his own power and conquer the Egyptian and Sumerian pantheons, ruling as the Emperor Of The Universe over the Twelve Galaxies for an unknown period of time.
250 million years ago, Kronos devasted the Lar empire that once ruled the Olympian Galaxy, leaving only few surviving planets and outposts.
One million years ago he was deposed and supposedly killed by Zeus by using a Drylon weapon that he later hid with the use of the Keys of Heaven.
Unbeknownst to most gods, however, Zeus did not kill his father but exiled him in an unknown way.
Kronos has been able to communicate with the present day, both with Noriko Null and with Leiko Tanaka.
Powers
Kronos was one of the most powerful gods in the entire Universe, if not the most powerful, capable of conquering the nine galaxy that would eventually be ruled by the Nine Gods.
Reality warping: Kronos can manipulate matter and energy at a galactic scale, can take any form and size he desires, is completely invulnerable, can teleport anywhere in the universe instantly. He may even be able to warp the laws of physics.
Clairvoyance: Kronos claims to be able to know his own future. The full extent of this power has not been revealed yet.
Notes
- Kronos ascended to the throne by killing his father. Ironically, Zeus would have succeeded him by killing him… if Kronos could be killed.
- Through unknown means (which included eating five of his six children), Kronos became the most powerful god in the universe. How Zeus managed to defeat him remains a mystery.
