The Sword of Nightmares was a weapon created by Abyss. It’s a rapier capable of many different functions called “modes” and that seem to be voice-activated.

• Defense Mode: generates a forcefield around the user
• Deflect Mode: intercepts and deflects multiple attacks
• Agony Mode: provides a very painful shock to anyone touching the sword or the user
• Kill Mode: the sword is superheated for increased damage
• Nightmare Mode: absorbs energy for the environment and channels it into the user, allowing for superhuman feats for a limited period; exposure to its field blocks Myridian powers. Repeated use of Nightmare Mode is extremely dangerous and is potentially lethal for the user
